Spenbrook is a hamlet at the base of the hill, consisting of approximately 35 houses primarily grouped around Gorrell Close and Osborne Terrace. It is connected to Newchurch village through Newchurch Playing Field and Sparable Wood.

One of the dominant features of Spenbrook hamlet is the Victorian Spenbrook Mill, which since the 1950’s until the early 2000’s was a base for manufacturing carpets. The mill and its grounds are currently being redeveloped by Cheshire Estates, who are building a new gated community of 19 detached houses and converting the former mill into 10 mews houses.
